Structural Integration, most commonly known as Rolfing, is a bodywork modality aimed at aligning the body within the field of gravity. That sounds pretty airy fairy right! Well, the way I usually talk about it is I take a look at how you move and you tell me what you have going on. From there we work together to create new patterns in how you move and discover what is the cause of your discomfort.
I work on the connective tissue, the fascia, of the body. The fascia is the structure of the soft tissue. It can get adhered and stuck from injuries, repetitive use, stress and a myriad of other life inputs. With Structural Integration we are pushing the reset button on your body so you can move forward with your life.
Some sessions require some deep fascial work that might be a little uncomfortable. Other parts of the session might seem like the lightest touch you have ever experienced. I work with your body as it is in that moment to create the change you require.
SI sessions are most commonly done in person. I have also done them over the phone, skype and even over text once.
